Merritt Seshul is a member of the medical staff at Frye Regional Medical Center, Catawba Valley Medical Center, and Viewmont Surgery Center.
He is Board Certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology and is a Fellow of the Triologic Society and of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Seshul completed additional training to obtain Fellowship within the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. Dr. Seshul has extensive allergy research experience, having published his Triologic Thesis on cost effective and clinically relevant methods of allergy testing. Dr. Seshul currently carries a clinical appointment as a Clinical Associate Professor Department of Otolaryngology of Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
A native of Nashville, Tennessee, he graduated from Samford University with a degree in Biology and received his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. His surgical internship and residency were completed at the UAB hospital system in Birmingham, Alabama.
Dr. Seshul is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, the American Rhinologic Society, the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, and the American Thyroid Association.
Dr. Seshul has been elected as one of the the 2009 North Carolina Medical Society Leadership College Scolars. This focuses on developing leadership skills in the modern health care arena. He is also a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, American Rhinologic Society, the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy and the American Thyroid Association.
Dr. Seshul serves as Vice President of Carolina Ear Nose & Throat Head and Neck Surgery Center and Chairman of the Board at Viewmont Surgery Center. He also serves as the Medical Director of Carolina Sinus and Allergy.
